My name is Ed Griffin and I am a self confessed mountain bike junky. When I’m not spending time with my family and my two adorable girls you can usually find me on the trails around Wellington, NZ
My first bike was a green raleigh BMX and I loved it until mountain bikes started hitting the scene.
In the early 1990s at the age of about 14 my friends and I used to hit the local mountain bike park PORC (Penshurst Off Road Cycling). It was awesome back then, we’d ride with a massive crew and would take all day to ride there and back: but rigid, 30lb bikes were hard on the bones!
I pretty much left the mountain bike scene until I moved to New Zealand 5 years ago. The mountain bike scene was taking off here and I quickly found myself getting back into it.
I ride about 3 or 4 times a week, (spend a whole heap of $ on bike stuff – whoops) and love it when the trail gets gnarly!
This blog is going to be about my experiences and stories in the world of mountain biking. I’m going to try and keep it up to date with all the latest news and trends. Hopefully it will be a good source of information for anyone into biking and specifically Enduro, my favourite!
